Cardinals Baseball Game!

After my regular 36 weeks appointment I was cleared to head to St. Louis for a Cardinals baseball game!!!! The last time I went to a Cardinals game was when I was pregnant with Keelin! It must be a pregnancy thing!
We saw a great game! The Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-6! Pujols hit a home run and Holiday hit a 3 run homer! and Franklin made the ninth inning a nail biter! What more can you ask for?????

Keelin stayed with her Mamaw and Papaw for the day!

36 weeks!

Clay, Jamie, Drew, and I at the game.

Drive-In Movie

We took Keelin to her first drive-in movie last night! She was really excited for "her show" to start. We told her she had to wait until the movie started to eat popcorn. Once the movie started she was more into the popcorn than the movie! We saw "G-Force". The second movie was "Ice Age" (which she probably would have liked better because she has seen the first two movies) but we decided to move to a different screen so Drew could see "The Hangover". We thought Keelin would fall asleep in her car seat being that it was so late, but she didn't! She watched more of this movie than G-Force!! What great parents we are :(

Waiting in the back of the truck for it to get dark!

Scrapbooking Night

A little over a week ago I went over to my friend Jamie's house to hangout with friends and scrapbook. Jamie took the cutest picture of Kyle, Keelin, and Hannah. Keelin and Hannah are so cute playing together!! It is so great to see them communicating...a friendship that I am sure will continue to grow! See Jamie's post here.

After starting a project that night at Jamie's house, I decided when I got home to keep my project in the dining room to continue to work on it throughout the week. Well... now I have filled all 15 pages front and back! and I am still working on pages! I will have to order more pages soon! I am "redoing" Keelin's baby book! My goal: to have Keelin's book (pages) done before baby #2 comes!

My Little Artist

I bought paints to do stenciling on Keelin's walls, but I decided not to do it. So...I bought a canvas for Keelin to paint instead. She loved it! I let her pick which color she wanted to start with and of course she picked PINK!

Pink done! Now on to blue.

Blue done! and she is ready for green.

Keelin painting with green.

Lots of GREEN! but now she wants more PINK!

Keelin with her final product!
Keelin did all the painting! All I did was hold her paint cup and tell her to be careful quite a few times! She got a little crazy with the paintbrush! In the end...she had NO paint on her clothes!!!
Later, I painted the edges of the canvas brown and it will be ready to go up on her wall once all the paint dries!!

Speaking of paint...I painted Keelin's toes for the first time today! She loves them!

Jogging Stroller Purchased!

Well... after a ton of research and deliberation...we finally decided on this jogging stroller! It is the BOB Ironman Duallie Stroller. It was expensive, but we know how much we use our single jogger so it can be justified. This is the only "BIG" purchase we are making this time around!!! It is nice still having everything from Keelin. I can't wait to get back on the road running...even if it is pushing 2 kids this time around! Although Drew will probably be pushing this stroller more often then I will :)

More Training: Week 5

Keelin seems to be enjoying herself on this route! We are now looking at purchasing a double jogging stroller. I can't wait to get back running myself!

35 Weeks

I am 35 weeks! Time is going by very fast!

Drew and I were having a conversation about the baby yesterday at dinner. Drew mentioned something about if the baby is a boy... Keelin interrupted saying, "No daddy, "GIRL!" She wasn't apart of the conversation, but it shows you how much kids pay attention to what you are saying! I feel for whoever has Keelin when the baby is born! I really think if we do have a boy she will deny it and still say the baby is a girl!! Can't wait to see her reaction on d-day!

5 Weeks Left!

Today marks 5 weeks until my scheduled c-section! I have my good and bad days.
  • My lower back is not liking me! After sitting, I often struggle with my first few steps getting up.
  • My right lower rib is getting beat up!
  • This baby moves constantly... often when I am trying to go to sleep!
  • I now sleep sitting up. My hips ache if I lie on my sides. The couch is my new bff!
  • I continue to walk (on my good days and if it is not too hot!) Yesterday I walked at a snails pace...but I still got outside! I plan to walk tomorrow! I pray for a good nights sleep!
  • Keelin says the baby is a girl. "NO Boy!" she yells.
  • I hope the baby comes before my scheduled c-section, but not before Labor day weekend. (My plan! :) After Keelin's arrival...I know anything is possible!

I'll post another belly picture soon.

Events of Thursday!

Just a typical day at home with Keelin...

Keelin thinks her puzzles are too easy! (and they are!)
To solve this... she decided to dump all the puzzle pieces into one pile so not only does she have to put the puzzles together, she has to first figure out what puzzle the piece belongs to.
*say that 5 times!*

She has discovered that the vents make her dresses "BIG"! I often find her dancing over them!

Nap time is becoming a trip!
Today... she preferred the floor to her bed!

We don't need Rock Band or Guitar Hero or even a Karaoke Machine to rock out! Just a Hannah Montana microphone (that is broken), a pink blowup guitar, and itunes playing through the computer!

I do have video footage of this!

First Day of School!

Well...today is the first day of school! I never really announced to my friends and family outside of Evansville that I am taking a year off teaching.
My brother called me "out of the blue" last night! I haven't talked to him in probably over 4-5 months. ( I know...I am a horrible older sister...) We caught up for a little while and it made me realize he didn't know I was taking a whole year off teaching. (Ironic he called the night before school starts!!!)
So...I will be home this whole year with Keelin and the baby to come in a month.
I will go back next August!
And to all teachers going back today (or in the next few days or weeks!) Good Luck this year!! I will be thinking about all of you!

Cookout at the Broeker's House

Keelin and I went to my friend Jamie's house for a cookout Saturday night. (Drew was bar tending, so he missed out.) Keelin had tons of fun playing on the slip-n-slide, with toys in the house, and running around the yard. She finally made it onto the trampoline before we left.

Leland, Kyle, Keelin, and Hannah were on the trampoline

I'm not sure what was going on here!

Keelin and Hannah seemed to be having fun!

You can see more about the cookout on Jamie's blog here.

Flowers...Out of Control!

Look at my flowers when I first planted them...

Look at them now!!! They are out of control!
I do NOT have a green thumb!!!
I planted way too many!! The flowers I thought would be the smallest turned out to be the biggest! You can't see the flowers in the back :( YIKES!

Summer Fun!

well...I guess this picture wouldn't fall under "Summer Fun"!
Keelin picked out a temporary tattoo at the doctor's office the other day...she couldn't wait for me to put it on her...once applied she screamed and screamed and screamed for me to take it off.
so here is a picture of Keelin's first temporary tattoo!! it lasted maybe 15 minutes before I was scrubbing it off!

If I don't let Keelin play outside in her dress...then she doesn't want to wear anything!

If Keelin had her choice...dresses would be the only thing in her wardrobe!
She loves flowers! I let her pick them (I'm a bad mom!) only because they are OUT OF CONTROL! (That will be another post!)

Keelin and I swim all the time! She loves the pool!

Everyday she tells me all about meeting the princesses at Disney!

She likes to pretend she is me!

more dresses

my little fish

Keelin has gone from learning how to go down the ladder at the beginning of the summer to now jumping off the deck...going all the way under... and then swimming off!
