Making Progress

I am doing a ton of painting in our new house.  Each day when Drew is at work and after I walk the girls to school, I spend the day painting.  I am painting walls, trim, and doors.  Here are some BEFORE pictures.

 The kitchen will not stay blue and the big brown box lighting has got to go!

 The workroom will be painted white and it will get a ceiling fan.

 Keelin's trim is done (white) and Emmy's is still brown.

 Drew and I's bathroom will be painted.

 The living room will only get touched up because the walls are too high and I don't have the right equipment.

The Girls' Bedrooms

Keelin's Room

 I painted Keelin's room a brighter shade of blue.

 I painted Emmy's room pink and gray.  Both girls wanted netting over their beds.  I also took off the brown sliding doors on their closets and put up fun curtains instead.

Walking to School

The girls and I do a lot of walking to school!  School is a half mile from our house and most of the walk is on a trail!

 Yes, Keelin is sick of me taking pictures! and this is before they cleared out the trail.

Sky Sox

The AAA baseball team to the Milwaukee Brewers is the Sky Sox and their stadium is like 1 mile from our house!  We went to our first Sky Sox game tonight and we got rained on :(

Picture Day

Today is picture day at school!

Yoga at Red Rock

Shauna and I did yoga at Red Rocks this morning!  What a cool experience to watch the sunrise and do yoga with a TON of people!

Pikes Peak

The girls were off school on Friday so we decided to drive to the top of Pike Peak! 

 A storm cloud was dropping down on the peak so we had to take cover in the summit store for about an hour.

 The Cog Train is another way to get to the top! You can also hike up the Barr Trail. 

 The storm passed!  Now we can enjoy the summit and views again!

Look at those switchbacks you have to drive to get up the mountain! 

Getting Settled In

 We are starting to get settled in.  Lots and lots of boxes to unpack! So thankful for my parents help these last two weeks!

Soccer

We signed both of the girls up for soccer this fall.  Drew will be coaching Emmy's team.  We signed them up through the Colorado Springs Park and Recreation.

Tennis in Denver

Drew signed Keelin up for a tennis tournament in Denver.

We had dinner at the City Pub, a restaurant near Jeff and Shauna's house that is known for their burgers!  Drew and I shared our first CO flight.
