Florida
We spent a week in Florida on vacation! We started our time at Daytona Beach and then stayed at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club. We had a wonderful time! My parents flew in late Sunday night to spend the week with us.
Our little beach bum!
Stepping into the Atlantic for the first time!
Our feet after a wave
Keelin enjoyed playing in the sand.
Playing with daddy
Playing with mommy
Keelin's Castle
Our family at the beach
Keelin decided she loved the water and waves!
Keelin loved the splashing water at Splash Lagoon at Orange Lake
Our villa was on the Crane's Bend golf course. Perfect name for the course being that 2 different cranes came up to our backdoor during the week. Keelin is saying, "Mommy, look...duck"
Crane #2 (much bigger than crane #1)
Keelin loved the Planet Hollywood Globe at Downtown Disney! She said, "Ball, ball" every time we walked past it. We took her to Downtown Disney twice.
She wasn't a big fan of the character statues. Every time we tried to take her picture or get her close to one, she latched on to me. Look how harmless Spot looks!
We ate at Rainforest Cafe and had the Volcano dessert! Keelin couldn't take her eyes off of it!

Another picture at Downtown Disney
Keelin enjoyed Downtown Disney, but we decided not to take her to a park because she is still a little too young. Next summer!

Our Trip to Michigan
We spent a wonderful week in Michigan! It was our first visit back to Mason (my hometown) and the UP since last 4th of July...the pictures below tell the story of our week!
And Grandma spent time swinging with Keelin!
On our way to the UP, we like to stop in Mackinaw City for white fish. While waiting for our food Keelin thought it would be funny to wear grandpa's glasses.
Swinging again with Grandma and Grandpa in Mackinaw City.
Watering flowers with great grandma Planck! Keelin brought her own little watering can with her.
We brought Keelin a whole bag full of toys and her favorite toy of the week was great grandma's broom...go figure!
Thursday was the Planck picnic. We played a lot of washers. Here cousin Todd is helping Keelin play washers.
Our family picture...in front of grandma Planck's house.
Keelin and I in front of grandma's house...she has tons of beautiful flowers!
Keelin with grandma and grandpa
Grandpa had a ton of fun playing with Keelin all week!
They are in the backyard at my parents' home in Mason.
Planck family reunion 2008...
4th of July Parade! Keelin had a blast! She loved picking up candy! Check out her pile!
Keelin and I watching the parade!
Aunt Mary, Keelin, Drew, mom, and many other family members watching the parade!
After the parade we introduced Keelin to a mini-pony. She was not interested. Drew and Aunt Margaret were trying to get her to pet it...no success.
We had my mom's family picnic on Friday at Aunt Jackie and Uncle Matt's house. Keelin loved the trampoline!
Keelin jumping with me!
Grandma Planck walking around with Keelin...she is a roamer...
Keelin loved Jack! He was a beautiful white boxer.
Keelin and I in my dad's fishing boat! and surprisingly she didn't mind wearing the life jacket!!!!
Keelin riding up front with Drew.
what a fun trip!
Saturday evening...my parents and I went out to my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jeff's cottage by Lake Superior. Drew and Keelin stayed back at grandma Planck's.
The first time Drew attended the Newberry parade he did not know what he was in for...
His quote, "4,000 people in the parade; 2,000 people live in the town?"
(In other words, it is a long parade for such a small town.)
Grandma and Keelin waiting to go boating down the Tahquamenon River.
Me in Lake Superior...and it was not too cold.
Keelin and I looking out of the the ferry window on our way to Mackinac Island early Sunday morning. Beautiful views...check out the pictures below to see what we were looking at.
the Mackinaw Bridge (connects lower Michigan with upper Michigan)
The town area on Mackinac Island.
We went over to the island so Drew and I could do a trainging run. We ran around the island TWICE! It is 8 miles around ONCE... you do the math!
My mom has always wanted to walk all the way around the island and she did that for the first time! (we usually bike) My dad pushed Keelin around the island in her stroller. She would walk and then ride and walk and ride.
We ate lunch, bought some yummy fudge, and did some shopping before we caught the ferry back to the main land.
