18 Weeks!

I am 18 weeks today!

Louisville Zoo

We went to the Louisville Zoo Saturday afternoon! We were able to walk right in with our Mesker Park Zoo family passes (avoiding the super duper long line of people waiting to buy tickets!!!!)

Here are some of the animals we saw at the zoo!
(Click on the picture to make it bigger.)

Keelin loved the giraffe!

Keelin loved the baby elephant!

Keelin loved the zebras!

Keelin and I in the Gorilla Jungle.

Keelin in a little hut. The table was just her size.

Keelin pointing to all the cool things in the hut.

Drew told Keelin this truck was Mater (from Cars), so she had to check it out.

Keelin's first train ride!! She loved it!

Keelin on the train!

Keelin begged to ride a "horsie".

We have been potty training Keelin and she stayed in the same pull-up all day! She went potty 3 times in the park restrooms, so we treated her to cotton candy before we left. She didn't know what to do with the cotton candy when I first gave it to her, but once she tasted it...she wanted to eat the whole bag!
She had such a great day at the zoo!

Louisville Mini-Marathon

We spent Friday evening and all day Saturday in Louisville. Drew ran the Louisville mini marathon Saturday morning. His training has not been the greatest lately and it proved to be another hot day for a race (similar to Chicago in October!) He was able to finish in 1 hour and 56 minutes, so he was pretty happy. Click here to see his results.

Keelin was so excited to have a whole bed to herself!
Although, I ended up sleeping with her so Drew could get a good nights sleep.

Keelin and I found a nice hill to sit on to wait for Drew to run by.

Here comes Drew!
He was looking for Keelin who was playing on the hill.

She ran down in time to give her daddy a hug.

And then he was off again.
Keelin tried to run after him and then began to cry because daddy was running away.
I consoled her and told her we would go find him after he finished the race.

Keelin found her daddy on a bench in the park.
She loved his medal.

Keelin loved the water fountains.

Happy Easter!

What a busy Easter day! We definitely did our share of celebrating the risen Lord!!! Our morning began with gifts from the Easter bunny, an egg hunt, and breakfast. We went to church and Keelin was great! She never stopped moving for an hour and a half, but she was pretty quiet! Keelin participated in the egg hunt after church and then we headed out to Mamaw and Papaw's house for lunch and an afternoon watching the Masters! Keelin was a busy body taking Mamaw all around outside and being "jelly bean" caused hyper! She was a hoot! Enjoy the pictures of our day!

Looking for eggs!

"I found one!"

Climbing for an egg!

Keelin's eggs were filled with jelly beans, which she kept eating...so

We had to put them out of reach!

(She has learned to go get her "time-out" stool to help her reach things around the house!)

Emptying her eggs with supervision!

Posing in her new Tinkerbell sunglasses

I made Keelin an Easter bunny cake. My mom made this cake when I was young and Keelin was really into the Easter bunny this year, so I made her one.

Revealing the cake to Keelin.

Keelin said, "Happy Birthday to ME!"

The green grass was entertainment to her.

Story Book Saturday...

Well...this is my 100th post!
I started this blog in January 2007 and I didn't post anything on it until February 2008. So in a little over a year I managed to post 100 events in our lives. I hope you have enjoyed them.

Saturday morning storybook...goes like this...

First, Keelin puts on her hat, gloves, and shoes.

Next, she wants to go outside to help her daddy.

So, she kicks open the door...

and...daddy says, "No!"
Keelin, honey, you forgot somethings you need before you go outside!

Drew's 30th Birthday

Drew's 30th birthday was Saturday! We spent that evening watching the final 4 basketball games at Buffalo Wild Wings. I was so excited for MSU!!! Drew complained a little, but I was able to get him to wear his new Michigan State shirt (courteous of my parents!).
Keelin spent the night with my friend Jamie and greatly enjoyed playing with Hannah! See here and here.
Thank you Jamie!

Rainy Days

Keelin has a Dora umbrella that she loves!!!! It was raining last weekend, so she was eager to get outside and use her umbrella. She kept going up and down the deck.

Enjoying Keelin's Swing Set

Keelin loves her new swing set!
My parents came to Evansville for the weekend to help build Keelin's swing set and of course to see Keelin. They greatly enjoyed playing with her on her new swing set.
