Emmy's Birthday Parties

Emmy turned 3 on September 18th.
I took her picture a few weeks before her birthday to make her invitations.
We had a small family party and everyone was able to come!

Mamaw and Papaw had a Rapunzel cake made for Emmy's party.  Not only did it look awesome, it tasted awesome too.

Keelin made Emmy a big Happy Birthday sign to hang up on the mantle.

The girls had fun playing with their Aunt Kate at the party.

Emmy loved her cake.

Opening presents.  Emmy opened a lot of clothes...which she needed.  She would say, "More pants!"

Drew and I got her the Jake and the Neverland Pirates' ship (Bucky).  She loved it.

Singing Happy Birthday to Emmy and blowing out the candle.

The weather was so beautiful we were able to spend some time outside playing.
Ashlyn was not a fan of the Barbie car once it started moving.

Emmy is my little monkey! I have to watch her.

Emmy... or Glenda (the good witch from the East?)

Here is Emmy on her actual birthday.  How appropriate that she choose to wear her monkey jacket.
September 18th

Emmy's daycare had a "Happy Birthday" sign hanging on the door.  Emmy was so excited that the sign was hanging for her.
Emmy chose Chuck E Cheese for her birthday dinner.  It was so nice going on a Tuesday night.  I think there was maybe 3 other families.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Emmy had a wonderful birthday and was spoiled by her family.
I can't believe my baby is 3.

Keelin's First Soccer Game

Saturday, September 8:  Keelin's First Outdoor Soccer Game

Emmy enjoyed watching her sister play soccer.

Coach Drew (coach daddy) getting his team warmed up.

Keelin is a very aggressive player.  She has no fear of attacking the ball.

Keelin had 4 break aways.  She scored on 2 of them.

Ashlyn and Emmy had their own version of soccer going on with Uncle Clay.

Keelin played goalie during the last quarter.

Emmy growls at you if she is mad.
She has taken a liking for using the word "NO".
She likes to dance and sing.
She can ride a two-wheeled bike with training wheels.
She can put together 24 piece puzzles by herself.
She often pretends she is some kind of animal...most often a monkey.
She can climb the rock wall on the swing set.
She likes to stick out her tongue if you are taking a picture of her.
She sleeps in a twin bed (with a bed guard).
She wakes up every morning by 5:30am.
If she sleeps to 6am...that is sleeping in.
She always asks for yogurt first thing in the morning.
She has to go to sleep with a stuff animal and her turtle night light on.
She scribbles to color.
She wants to be Captain Hook for Halloween.
She likes to tell jokes and has a crazy laugh.
Her favorite...Knock, knock...who's there?...boo...boo who?  why you cryin?
She still SCREAMS...enough said.

Keelin's Running

Keelin has logged 5 miles running so far with the Kids YMCA training.
She ran a mile with me in our neighborhood.  She wanted to wear the hydration belt like her daddy does when he runs!
She ran a mile with me this day.

She ran a mile and a half with me this day.

She also ran a mile with drew at the end of another training day (no picture).
This weekend she ran the last 1/2 mile with me during the 15K race.

August Phone Pictures

Keelin and Hannah (the day before school started in their matching dresses.)

Emmy a little confused about the weather and Keelin enjoying her first optional dress day at school.

Labor Day weekend was rainy due to Hurricane Issac, so we brought the tent inside for the girls to enjoy their first camping experience.  We also got out the s'mores maker.

July Phone Pictures

I just now downloaded pictures from my phone onto my computer, so I am going back to a few events from earlier this summer.

Friday, July 27:  Emmy's First Haircut in a salon

Sunday, July 29th:
Keelin got a new bike since she is now riding without training wheels.  She is going out on the greenway for the first time.

Emmy is excited to have the trailer all to herself.

The Olympics and Brave have inspired Keelin to try archery.  She made her own target.
