Chuck E. Cheese

It was fundraiser night for school!  Keelin and Emmy have been so excited to go to Chuck E. Cheese for at least 2 weeks (since I hung up the March school calendar...that had Chuck's picture on it!)

Keelin enjoyed running around with all her friends from school.

Girls Pictures

I took some pictures of the girls.

I love how Emmy just lets go of the ropes on the ladder...to look at a WEED!

Disney on Ice

The girls went to "Disney on Ice" today with their Mamaw and Papaw.  Keelin has been looking forward to this day for at least a month!  They had such a good time!

They dressed up in "play dresses" for the show!

Drew and I headed to Bdubs for basketball!

Keelin took her camera to the show!  Here are a few of her pictures.

The castle is in the background!

Thanks, Mamaw and Papaw for such a great time!

Looking Forward to Camping!

Today we finally got to see "Cousin Eddie's Trailer"!  Keelin and Emmy's Mamaw and Papaw's new trailer they bought for their land out north!  The girls are so excited to go camping with them!

 Emmy loves her Elmo bed!

 Keelin loves her Princess bed!

That to me looks like trouble!  (I don't foresee very much sleeping going on!)  Good luck...Mamaw and Papaw!!

Barnes and Noble

Saturday, March 3:
We took the girls to story time at Barnes and Noble in the afternoon.

The girls enjoyed looking at books and playing before the story began.
They had pink lemonade and sugar cookies for the kids to eat during the story.
Keelin and Emmy both listened to the story, "The Jellybeans".

After the story, there was an art activity...  Painting!

Keelin and Emmy with their artwork!

Emmy's art... "multicolored blob" is what I named it.

Keelin painted two... a rainbow and flowers.!

Storms

Wednesday, February 29th: Leap Day Storms
This morning I woke up at 4:30am with the intention of working out.  The TV was still on and the weather man was tracking a strong storm line headed our way.  I thought...no workout...shower and get ready early because I figured we would need to take cover at some point.  As I am trying to figure out when the storm would get to us, I realize it would be close to when we would need to leave for school...great!  Fortunately, we ended up having a one-hour delay.

Here is a picture of the girls listening to a story on my nook while they waited out the storm in the bathroom.  (Drew left for work early and got ahead of the storm.)

On the way home from school on Wednesday...
Keelin said, "Mommy, why did God make storms and potatoes...I'm mean tomatoes?"
I said, " Do you mean tornadoes?"
Keelin said, "Yeah, that's what I meant."

Friday, March 2: Round 2 of storms!
These were stronger.  I was in a conference during the entire storm system.  It was crazy not knowing what was going on outside.  I know my school spent over an hour in the hallway in the afternoon...I can only imagine what my students were going through.

The next morning's paper... My sister-n-law, Kate's house is on the left in this picture.
(Thankfully, she has no damage.)

Hair Cut

Keelin and I got 4-5 inches cut off our hair!  Shannon cut my hair (as usual) but Mrs. Mosby cut Keelin's hair!  We found out that Keelin's preschool teacher has been cutting hair with my beautician for many years.  Funny.

President's Day

Monday, February 20th: President's Day
I had today off work so the girls and I headed out for a day of fun.

First stop: Mesker Park Zoo
My camera lens had a hard time adjusting from a brisk 40 degrees outside to a humid 70 degrees inside Amazonia.

The flowers in Amazonia were beautiful! Anthurium Hybrid
Perfect for Valentine's Day!

The leopard

The new boardwalk at the zoo (and Keelin talking to her dad on the phone!)
I think this is the first time we have gone to the zoo in winter jackets.  It was a new experience.

Keelin has been scared of this slide ever since she started going to the zoo.  Today she went down it for the first time!

After the zoo, we did some shopping.  The girls got Build-A-Bear gift cards from their Papaw Rick, so we spent over an hour there (along with every other kid in Evansville!)
Emmy kissing the heart she put in her new bear, Sparkles.
Keelin and Emmy washing Cali and Sparkles.
When Keelin stepped on the blower...Emmy backed up.  She was not a fan of the washing station.
Poor Sparkles...face down in the bath!
