Pancake Days and Roller Skating

Saturday, February 23:  YMCA Pancake Days

It is not easy getting a picture of the 3 girls (and 3 balloons!)

Drew took Keelin roller skating for the first time in the afternoon! They went to Skate World.  Keelin had a ton of fun and now wants to have her next birthday party at Skate World.

This is the back of my vehicle!

Here are the cookies that Keelin sold!

On Friday, February 22th Keelin and I sold cookies at our Old Navy booth.  The girls had a fun time.

Keelin's First Tooth

Keelin lost her first tooth on Saturday, February 16th.  She was eating an apple and it fell out.  She was so excited!

She wrote the Tooth Fairy a note and went to bed.
The Tooth Fairy left her a folded up $5 bill in her tooth pillow.  And the Tooth Fairy "carefully" signed her note.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day came and went... I only took this picture to make a Valentine's Day card.  Happy belated Valentine's Day!

Emmy's Situation

On Saturday, February 2nd, I was in the bathroom about to get into the shower, when I heard Emmy whining in her room (her closet backs up to our closet).  I got in the shower and when I got out of the shower, I could still hear her whining.  I went to investigate and this is what I found.
She climbed up on her shelf and threw everything on the shelf on the floor.  She could not figure out a way down so she whined until she was rescued.  Apparently, Drew and Keelin could not hear her from downstairs and I was in the shower, so I am betting she sat there for a "good" 20 minutes!

And yes... that is baby powder sitting next to her!  She did not open it.  Thank GOD! Oh, I love my little trouble maker.

Catholic Schools Week

Catholic Schools Week: January 28- February 1

On Monday, Keelin got to get cheese balls thrown at her head by all her Kindergarten classmates.  Look at those red cheeks!  I think she might have been a little embarrassed!

Optional dress and crazy hair day!

This is my second grades' door for the door decorating contest.

Friday was also crazy hair with pajamas (if you made a donation to the Fun Fest)
Keelin and I stopped at Donut Bank for breakfast!  What a fun week!

My Birthday and Michigan

Drew and I (and the girls) had to leave for Michigan the morning after we returned home from the cruise (which was my birthday).  On the last day of our cruise, I found out that my Grandma Perry had passed away.

My birthday journal:  I went to work at 4:30am on a Sunday morning.  I spent 3 hours at work.  We drove in our SUV for 13 hours through rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow!  We ended up stopping in Gaylord, MI to get a hotel room for the night.  The best part of my birthday was stopping to eat dinner at Bdubs (Drew's favorite restaurant), but they gave me a free HUGE brownie sundae.  I did share it with my daughters.

Now that the girls are getting older, traveling is a bit easier when they can pull their own luggage!  We are leaving our hotel in Gaylord, MI.

We arrived at my Grandma Planck's house before noon.  My mom had made me a cake in Evansville for my birthday and she traveled all the way to the UP with it so we could all celebrate my birthday.

Keelin and I were asked to read the Responsorial Psalm at my grandma's funeral.  Keelin read the last verse all by herself.

My grandma Planck taught me how to crochet when I was younger.  Keelin was eager to learn, so she spent some time working with Keelin.  (My dad had to share his footstool!)

The girls were troopers!  They did an awesome job in the car for 25+ hours with NO DVD player!  I went to hook it up in the car about 30 minutes into our trip and there was no cables in the case!  Fortunately, we did have a Nook and an Ipad Mini.

Our Cabin and Towel Friends

Our cabin was #6402

Meet our towel friends who greeted us each day!

(notice: the monkey is hanging in the first picture of our cabin.)

This was NOT Drew's favorite! He walked into the room first and about backed up over me because it startled him so much.

Day at Sea

Friday, January 11th: Our last day at Sea
We sat on the deck (in the same place as Monday) and relaxed.
Poto was our awesome server on the deck both Monday and Friday.  He made sure we stayed hydrated!
