Family

(I just realized I never published this post...it was Friday, June10th)

Tonight the St. Clair family (my dad's sister) came out for dinner at my parents' house.  We had such a good time visiting and we were able to head outside after the rain stopped.
 The cousins (minus Drew)

My brother Jeff and our cousin Todd supporting their respective colleges.

Keelin always having fun!  She loves Melissa and Todd.

Keelin (the center of attention, surprise...surprise) rolling across the backyard.

Cabin in the Woods

We are staying in a beautiful cabin in the woods!  The cabin over looks Crystal Lake.  When we hike up behind the cabin, we stand in the bluffs over looking Lake Michigan.  IT IS BEAUTIFUL.

Living room...no TVs...just wood fires...so nice and relaxing.

Keelin and I's room.  I love waking up and feeling like we are in the woods.  The big windows are wonderful.

My parents and Emmy's room...the same beautiful view of the woods.

The view from my bedroom door.

The Girls' Dresses

Shauna, my mom, the girls, and I went to David's Bridal today to get Keelin and Emmy's flower girl dresses for Jeff and Shauna's wedding in August.  Keelin loved her dress (which fit perfect) and ran all over the store in it.  Emmy's dress was quite BIG.  They did not have the right color so I will be picking her dress up in Grand Rapids next week.

Our New House

We got the keys to our new house on Saturday, June 4th.  (4 days early)  We have lots of projects we want to do since all of our stuff is stored at Drew's parents' houses.  We have 2 weeks worth of scheduled appointments and appraisals.  Plumbing for gas, cable, SWAT pest, carpet cleaning, aggregate step, yard survey, and fence estimates.  Drew is painting, installing ceiling fans, and an attic ladder.  I am sure I have missed something.
I will post more pictures of the inside when I return from Michigan.  (Drew does not take pictures so most of the project work won't be photographed...since I am in Michigan for the next two weeks.)

Night Swimming

We came home from dinner at the Tavern late Monday night.  Keelin saw her Mamaw and Papaw down by the pool and wanted to go see them.  The next thing I knew...she was ready to swim without her clothes.  (I don't know what it is with this girl and no clothes!)  It was going on 9pm, but I let her have her fun.  Emmy joined the fun and got all wet too.

She had mosquito bites all over her back in the morning.

Aunt Mary's Visit

My Aunt Mary came to visit us from Green Bay.  She flew into Evansville on Friday (6/3)evening.  Her friend Judy comes to Evansville often to do training for Old National and Aunt Mary decided to join her for one of her trips so she could spend some time with us.

On Sunday, we went to French Link for the day.  We stopped at two wineries and then went to the Casino.  The first winery we went to was Winzerwald.

The sign fell down during one of the bad storms.
We went to the French Lick Winery.

The French Lick Resort and Casino...where Aunt Mary won MONEY!
I would love to go back just to rent one of these bikes.

On Monday, we went to Mesker Park Zoo

This snake was spotted by Keelin...not in a cage.  It was out for a "slither" in the zoo.
Always a helpful hand...giving her sister a boost.
It was a HOT day and the girls loved the mist.
As we were walking out to leave...I turned around to see Keelin walking "nudy tudy" and Aunt Mary is wringing out her outfit.
I told Keelin she could not walk out of the zoo without clothes on so Judy gave Keelin her outer shirt to wear.

Our Basement Life

We have been living in my in-laws basement for 2 weeks, while we waited to get possession of and fix up our new house.  Here is our set-up.

I loved our 4 dressers around the support beam.
 boxes...boxes...boxes (and more stuff)

The girls wearing their Christmas dresses one morning.  Since they could get into almost anything...they did.

 The girls make-shift play area.

 Emmy and I's hanging clothes.
 Drew and Keelin's hanging clothes.
What impressed me the most was we could fit 3 closets of hanging clothes in 1 closet!!!!!!

Our bedroom in the basement.
