Good Friday = Egg Hunt at Preschool!

 The girls got cute outfits from their Great Aunts in the mail a couple weeks ago! 
At school Keelin won this butterfly tattoo when she won a game!  She was so excited to put it on her cheek when she got home.  She came home from preschool with lots of Easter treats!

Future Mowers!

Drew brought the riding mower to our house when he took a load of our "stuff" to his dad's house to store.  The girls were quite intrigued by the huge mower!

Who Knew Moving Would Be So Fun?

Last Saturday I started packing up the kitchen.  The girls thought playing with the boxes was so fun!

 Emmy got into the box (with Keelin's help!).

Does it look like I was getting much packing done????? I ended up packing 9 boxes full of kitchen items.  If you looked in our kitchen cabinets...it doesn't even look like I have dented it! YIKES! so much to pack up and move.

Idol Fundraiser Night

I attended a fundraiser night last Friday.  It was an American Idol themed fundraiser!  The singers were excellent!  The food and drinks were great! and spending time with friends from work made it special!

House Update

Here is a timeline of our house details!

Wednesday, March 23rd:  Our realtor came to our house to go over the final details and take pictures of our house.  She also put the for sale sign in our yard.

Friday, March 25:  Our house officially is on the market!  We could view our house online!

Saturday, March 26: Our realtor calls us twice for showings on Sunday.

Sunday, March 27: Our realtor calls us in the morning for another Sunday showing!  We had to be out of our house from 12:30-5 because our house had 3 showings.

Tuesday, March 29:  Our realtor calls us because we have an offer on our house!  We counter the offer (slightly).

Wednesday, March 30:  Our counter is accepted and we sold our house!  ONE WEEK!
On Wednesday, Drew and I walked through 6 houses. 

Thursday, March 31:  Drew and I walked through 3 houses.

Friday, April 1:  Drew and I walked through 1 house.

Saturday, April 2: Drew and I walked through 4 houses.  We really liked the first house!

Monday, April 4:  We walked back through the house we liked on Saturday.

Tuesday, April 5:  We made our first offer on the house. 

Wednesday, April 6:  They countered our offer.

Thursday, April 7:  We countered their counter.

Friday, April 8:  They countered our counter.  We made our final offer! (oh the joys of buying a house!)

Saturday, April 9:  They accepted our offer!!! We bought a HOUSE!

ALL THIS IN 18 DAYS!

Now we have inspections and all that other fun stuff!   Closings are in the middle of May.

SIC Marathon (or NOT!)

Today was the Southern Indiana Classic Marathon and 1/2 Marathon.  I was trained and ready for my first marathon since October 2008.  Well...the weather put a damper on my plans!  The marathon was canceled due to predicted high temperatures and humidity.  All marathoners were rerouted onto the 1/2 marathon course.

At the SIC Celebration, Keelin had a blast playing on one of the swing sets!

I finished the race in 1:47:06!  Not bad for high heat, hills, and wind!  I ended up placing 4th in my age group! (6 seconds out of 3rd and 12 seconds out of 2nd!)

32 Miles!

Drew turned 32 on Monday, April 4th!  Happy Birthday, Honey!

He came up with this CRAZY idea about a month ago...run his age!  That would be 32 miles!  He ran the idea by me and I said, "You are crazy, but go for it!" He ran the idea by a girl in his running group and she happened to be turning 31 on Tuesday, April 5th...how ironic! and she wanted to do it too!

The planning began...and on Sunday, April 3rd Michele and Drew ran 31/32 miles for their birthdays. 

Drew kept the idea to himself because he didn't want the expectation from friends and family if he wasn't able to finish... but Michele sent out emails to everyone in their running group.  They had so much support along their course from other runners!  They not only finished but did it in AMAZING time!

They began their run at 3am!!!! Leaving the YMCA downtown, they headed west, then north, over to Newburgh, and then back downtown.

Keelin and I surprised Drew by being downtown to watch him finish.

 Members from the running group decorated their cars...leaving them a balloon, candy, and confetti.

Keelin Starts Soccer!

Keelin started her second spring season of soccer on Saturday!  She loved soccer last spring and was very excited to begin playing again this spring!
