My mom and I started the morning going for a run (mom walked) on a new trail in Empire.
Then the whole family headed to Lake Michigan on the Old Indian Trail. You start with a mile hike through the woods. Then you come to the sand dunes.
Look closely... the girls are climbing the dune.
Then it is a sandy hike out to Lake Michigan. It started out very overcast, but the clouds moved out to make beautiful blue skies.
Dad took a nap! How peaceful!
You can't go to the beach without doing handstands!
We went back into Frankfort for dinner, so we hiked out to the Frankfort lighthouse.
