Swimming with Friends

The girls and I joined Jamie, Hannah, and Kyle to go swimming at their Grandma and Grandpa Broekers' pool.

It took a whole year, but it was well worth it!

Michigan: Oswalds Bear Ranch

 On our way home we stopped at Oswald's Bear Ranch to see the bears.

 We walked around all the bear enclosures.  We saw tons of bears.

 

 We went into the cub's cage and we all took a picture with a baby cub. 

 

After going to the bear ranch, we headed to my grandma's house for the Planck family picnic.

Michigan: Camping at Muskallonge State Park

 We checked into our camping site on July 2nd.

 The kids had fun running around the campsite and finding dead fish!

 We rented boats on July 3 and spent time cruising around Muskallonge Lake.

 

 We hiked over to Lake Superior.

 We all went to Pine Stump for dinner.

 And then went to my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jeff's cabin.

 On July 4th, we drove into Newberry for the 4th of July parade and family picnic.

 The girls were very excited about getting wet by the fire trucks. 

 My cousin Tony made sure they got sprayed!

 Where else would logging trucks (that throw candy) be a cool part of a parade?

 Tony won "cousin of the day" after taking the girls for rides in this!

 We all drove out to Grand Marais to watch the fireworks over the bay.
