Elf on the Shelf...Jingle

Our elf, Jingle, came back this year during the month of January.  He arrived by our DVD player with the movie Home Alone.  The girls were excited to see him everyday and enjoyed trying to find him every morning.  He even brought Keelin doughnuts on her birthday.

Yes... that would be our underwear!  Bad elf!

 Jingle even made the trip to Michigan! and left us on December 24th.  We hope to see him next year.

Cold Weather Doesn’t Stop Us…

It was 16 below zero!  It was positive 16 in Evansville.
This is what Drew looked like after running in -16 degrees!

Family sledding time!  The most “looked forward to” activity while up north!


Daddy… you go first!  Down the hill, across the road, and down the second hill!

The long walk back up the hills keeps you warm in negative temperatures!

Into the woods for our cross county skiing/snow shoeing adventure!  The boys snow shoe and the girls ski.

Shauna and I topped off sledding and skiing with a 3 mile run! Feeling accomplished this Christmas Eve!

My grandma has wildlife at her house all the time! Negative temps and blowing snow do not keep them away.

We drove to Mason on Saturday arriving just before the ice storm hit.

Keelin discovered all my gymnastics trophies, medals, and ribbons.  They were entertainment for the girls!  They kept awarding them to each other.  It was very cute.

Saturday night the ice storm hit causing damage and power outages everywhere.  My parents had limbs down but they always had power!

There is never a dull moment with grandpa around!

Keelin wrote a letter to Santa from her and Emmy, so we went up to the big Santa statue and mailbox downtown Mason to deliver the letter.
