Emmy's 5th Birthday

Emmy turned 5 on Thursday, September 18th.  She had a great day at school.  She opened presents from us and gifts she got in the mail from family.  She chose Gatti town for dinner, so we went there.

 

 On Friday, September 19th, we went over to Papaw Rick's house and celebrated with him.

 Emmy had a Frozen theme at Papaw Rick's house.

 

 On Sunday, September 21st, we had a birthday party at our house for Emmy.  This party was a My Little Pony theme.

 Emmy chose nachos, salad, and watermelon for food.

 Emmy had Rainbow Dash toes and hair!

Picture Day

I took the girls pictures before school in front of our house.

I decided to get digit pictures of the girls this year, so I could print my own.  So their school pictures are below.

 

 

We all went to our 1st Memorial football game of the season tonight.  The tigers were playing Mater Dei.  We did not stay for the whole game, but Memorial lost.

Trail Race and Hawk

I dropped the girls off at Drew's dad's house in Newburgh while I went to run the Full Moon 5K trail race at Angel Mounds.  As I was leaving his driveway, I heard a loud thump on my roof.  I looked up through my sunroof and saw this bird! I polled Facebook and I believe it is a Cooper's Hawk.

I ended up 2nd female in the trail race.  See the full moon above Emmy and I.  This was my first trail race in the dark.  It was fun having to use a head lamp to see where I was going.

Emmy's Elegant Party

 Emmy had an elegant party at school.  She is learning the letter "e".  She wore Keelin's flower girl dress from Jeff and Shauna's wedding.  Keelin wore this same dress for her elegant party. (See here)

Technology...Technology...Technology!!! Emmy is watching a show on Netflix on the iPad and texting on her fake phone! The fake conversation she is having with her friend is cracking me up!

Camping at New Harmonie State Park

We joined Mamaw and Papaw at New Harmony State Park to camp in their new camper. 

Shopping and Cookies!

 My shopping dates!  They seem to enjoy a Starbucks treat as much as their mom does!

And we made monster cookies! Yum!

Ninja Warrior, Power Breakfast, and Triplets?

 Keelin loves watching the TV show "American Ninja Warrior".  She also likes to try to do some of the obstacles in our house!

 Thanks to my dad and brother, I have a new favorite breakfast cereal.

Miss Emmy wants to be the triplet of twin girls in her class at PreK. 

Keelin's Duct Tape Dress

 

Keelin likes to make things out of duct tape.  This dress is her latest project! 

Back to School

 

Today is the first day of the 2014 school year!  Emmy is in PreK and Keelin is in 2nd grade.

 Emmy goes to Gabriel's Garden and has Mrs. Wathen and Mrs. Thomas as her teachers.

 Keelin goes to Annunciation School at Holy Spirit (new name!) and has ME (Mrs. Sills) as her teacher.

 While I was back in my classroom getting ready for the new school year, Drew took the girls to Smother's Park in Owensboro, KY and to get ice cream at Orange Leaf.  Keelin found her BFF Hannah at the park!
