Emmy's 1st Field Trip

 Emmy's 4th birthday is today!  It is a special day because her preschool went on a field trip to TJ's Orchard.  It was Emmy's first field trip and bus ride.  I was able to go with her on the field trip today!

 Here is Emmy's preschool class.  Emmy got to be the line leader because it was her birthday.

 I sat with Emmy on the bus.  She loved her first bus ride.  Good thing...because it took about 25 minutes to get to the orchard.

Running

Drew and I are both training for races again.  We took the girls in the jogger tonight for a run with the YMCA training group.

 

 Drew is now pushing 80+ lbs of children and stroller while we run!

Keelin is also running the kids half marathon again this year.  She has been logging her mile runs!  She ran 2 miles tonight.  She ran 1 mile with me before going in the stroller and she ran 1 mile after with her daddy.

Movie: Smurfs 2

Since Drew was out of town all week, the girls wanted to do some fun things.  Keelin wanted to go to a movie.  I wasn't too keen on the idea since it would be on a school night.  I saw that Showplace Newburgh was showing Smurfs 2 at 4:20, which was a doable time for a school night!

We decided to invite Hannah to join us as a birthday present to her!  Keelin had been bugging me about getting Hannah a present for her birthday for like the last two weeks.  She thought it was a great idea.

 

 We had the whole theater to ourselves!  A private screening! and the girls chose to sit in the last row.

 During the credits, the girls went down front and danced to the music.

Washing the Car

There is a big road construction project happening just outside our neighborhood.  Here are a few photos of what we get to drive through everyday...

 My car was getting so dirty from driving on that dusty dirt road, so the girls and I had some fun washing it on a hot afternoon after school.

15K Race

I ran in the 2nd race of the YMCA series.  This was the 15K race.  I pulled my calf on my Thursday training run, so I wasn't sure how this race would go.  I spent Thursday and Friday using my "stick", icing, and taking Advil.  The first 3 miles were pretty rough, but my calf loosened up and I was able to get through the whole run!

Emmy's Gymnastics

Emmy had her first gymnastics class tonight.

She will be going to Revolution Gymnastics every Friday evening from 6-6:45.  She is in the Little 3-4 year old group.  She was a little nervous going out to start her class.  She cried for me to come with her, but I talked/convinced her that she would have fun.  And she loved it!

Otter's Field Trip

 

 Our whole school went to an Evansville Otter's Baseball Game as an educational field trip!

 Keelin sat in the front row!

 Keelin was selected to participate in a between inning activity.

 She played Hot Potato with 3 of her 1st grade classmates!

 The game went into the 10th inning but we had to get on the bus to get back to school.
Later we found out that the Otters won the game!

 Keelin was trying to catch a t-shirt.  She did get a baseball.
