Monday, July 15th we all went to Magic Kingdom!
The girls were all ready to go to bed the night before in their princess nightgowns.
We arrived at the park at 8:00am because we were having a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace.
It was nice taking pictures in front of the castle without the huge crowds of people!
At breakfast, the girls got to see Piglet, Tiger, and Pooh.
We headed to Tomorrow Land first. We went to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor first. Keelin, Emmy, and I were put under the spotlight and interviewed! They made a few jokes about Evansville. (Last year Emmy was spotted as "Boo" during the show!) Keelin rode Space Mountain for the first time. She loved it! She said she kept her eyes closed the whole ride, which is not a big deal because you can not see anything on the ride anyway! We also rode the people mover, which I have never rode before. You can see all of Tomorrow Land and more! Very cool ride.
A little before noon we hit the stage show in front of the castle. Check out those blue skies! They did not stick around long!
Since the girls wore their Brave shirts we stopped by Merida's area. We did not wait in line this year since we waited to see her last year.
On the monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom, I asked Emmy which characters she wanted to see today. She responded, "Pluto and Minimus (Sofia's horse)" I figured we would not see Minimus, so I am glad they got to see Pluto!
We had great seats for the afternoon parade, but it started to pour down rain. We ran into the restaurant across the street to take cover. We came back out for the parade but we couldn't see very well and it was still raining so I did not take any pictures.
It started to pour AGAIN! So we took cover with many other people at the fast pass station for Thunder Mountain. It was a little crowded! Everyone was trying to stay "happy". Keelin was not a fan of being squished by everyone!
The girls spotted Rapunzel's Tower!
In the new Fantasy Land, we took the girls to Belle's Story time. Keelin had a role in the interactive story. She was a pepper shaker!
Since it rained on and off all afternoon and into the evening, we did many indoor rides/shows. We rode Ariel's new ride in Fantasy Land. We also did the Flight of Peter Pan. I have been to Magic Kingdom about a half dozen times in my lifetime and we did many things today that I have never done before!
The teacups was not something new, but it is always fun! especially when we walked right on with no line!
We found great seats for the night parade! The rain held off so we were able to enjoy this parade!
We walked back to the castle to see the digital show on it and then we left before the fireworks. We were all tired and still wet (plus, we just saw awesome fireworks in Evansville the week before and we beat everyone to the monorail!) See you later Disney...looking forward to next time.
Tuesday night we went to Miller's Ale house for dinner and to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. It was so crowded (maybe because it was a cool evening)!
The girls picked out a Rapunzel Tower toy set to share. Emmy picked out a Sleeping Beauty nightgown and Keelin got a new Brave bow and arrow set from Mamaw and Papaw.
I picked out a Mike Wizowski mug.
