Swimming in Crystal Lake

With everything that we cram into this week, swimming in Crystal Lake is always the girls favorite.  The water temperature was a whopping 60 degrees...maybe!  It was cold!  I know because I swam to the outer dock (50+ yards from shore) with my sister-n-law Shauna (it was her idea!) but I was dumb enough to say "I'll join you!".  It was not the smartest thing I have ever done.

Day 1
Keelin gives Emmy a ride!

Keelin gives standing up a try!

Day 2
 Tether ball with daddy
Keelin is getting a little more comfortable standing up!
Emmy liked standing on the board...as long as it was not in the water!
Keelin braved paddling out to the close dock.

Day 3
I decided to give standing up a try! It was crazy being able to see the bottom of the lake while standing on the board way out in the calm lake.  I even took the girls out with me... just not as far!

Keelin is getting better at standing up!
 Family paddle boarding
 crazy clear water!
The girls hitched rides with Aunt Shauna and Uncle Jeff!

(notice... most of the swimming didn't involve going all the way into the water! but Shauna and I did swim to far dock in the picture above!)

Michigan- Crystal Lake

We arrived at Crystal Lake on Saturday, June 8th.
We stayed at Chimney Corners on the north side of the lake.  This is the 3rd year in a row I have taken the girls up here.  This year was extra special because Drew joined us!
Here is our cabin... "Highview"  (It gets its name because it is the highest cabin on the hill!)
We all played cards everyday!  Emmy learned how to play Uno.

Keelin is pointing to our cabin on the map.
The girls were so excited to get down to the lake!  They enjoyed throwing rocks with cousin Tracey.

Not only did Drew join us this year... we had 16 family members including my brother, Jeff and his wife, Shauna, from Arizona!  We grew from 5 last year to 16 this year!
We enjoyed catching up and socializing down at the fire pit!
The whole group! (with beautiful Crystal Lake behind us!)
if you were wondering how it got its name??? the lake is crystal clear!  The swimming area has more sand, but I think the rocks are beautiful!

Keelin's Tee Ball

Keelin had another fun season of tee ball!  This was her second year playing tee ball and she really enjoyed it.  She was on the Pirates team again this year.

They got to play one of the first games this season on the baseball field at St. Ben's.

Some of the games were at Holy Rosary.  The girls enjoyed the playground here!

Keelin and Hannah were on the same team again this year!
I think Emmy is ready to play tee ball!

 The team!  Serious and Funny!

Keelin had some spectators at her last tee ball game! Mamaw, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Clay, and her cousins, Ashlyn and Cooper came to watch her.

 picnic time!
Mamaw kept the girls busy during the game!

 Cooper "the happy baby!"
I smell trouble from these two in the future! Two little cuties
