Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, our family went to our church's children's Mass.  Keelin and I took part in the Mass.  Keelin brought up the gifts and sang a song at the end of Mass .  I was a Eucharistic Minister.  Emmy was sick with a fever :(  We had to give her medicine to get her through Mass.

Before Mass at home and outside the church

Father Burns welcomed all the children up onto the sanctuary during his homily.  Keelin even answered one of his questions.  He asked if Santa had brought them any presents yet.  Keelin responded with "Yes, a Barbie car."  Drew and I looked at each other like... where did that come from?  Later, it dawned on me that she was referring to two Christmases ago when Santa brought her a Barbie car.

The girls visited the Nativity scene after Mass to see baby Jesus.
Santa made a visit to Mass!

 Getting ready for Santa!

Keelin and Drew went to Christmas with Drew's dad.  I stayed home with Emmy since she was running a fever.  Keelin was excited to show me her gifts from Papaw Rick!  She loved her princess snuggie.  We put Emmy's presents under the tree to open in the morning.

Santa

Santa was suppose to visit Emmy's daycare on December 18th but one of his reindeer was ill!  He came back on December 19th to visit the children.

Granny Karen gave the kids her Christmas presents anyway.  Emmy loved her big bear pillow mat.
We went back to see Santa the next day.  Keelin was sick with a temperature, so she missed out on the festivities.
Emmy loved Santa this year!  She jumped right up in his lap and told him she wanted a rocket ship! What???? Where is Santa going to get a rocket ship?  She also asked for a train.  My crazy child.

Santa let the kids play with his bells and he read them a story.  Emmy was so excited to see Will.  He doesn't go to Granny's anymore and she misses him.

I took Keelin to the Mall on December 21 to see Santa since she was not able to go see him at Granny's house.

Cooper Michael Sills

Drew and I's first nephew was born on 12-12-12.  Our niece, Ashlyn, spent the night with us the day he was born.  In the morning, Keelin and I took Ashlyn to the hospital to see her new brother.
Keelin and I both got a chance to hold him before heading to work/school.

After work/school on Thursday, we all headed to the hospital to see baby Cooper.

Polar Express

The girls went to French Lick with their mamaw and papaw to ride the Polar Express.

The girls wore their "new" pajamas just like in the movie.

Ready to go!

(I will add more pictures when I get them from mamaw.)

Basketball

Keelin is now trying yet another sport...basketball.
She will be playing basketball all of December and January.  She has games every Sunday.  Her dad is her coach and he named the team the Spartans!  He claims it is only because all the "good" team names had already been taken.  Anyway...they even have dark green t-shirts!

Maddie, Hannah, and Keelin are all on a team together.

Ready to play!  Keelin has made quite a few baskets for her team!

Iceman Hockey

On Saturday, December 7th, we took the girls to their first hockey game.  They both really liked watching the game.  It was a special night at the Evansville Iceman's game.  After the Iceman made their first goal, everyone was encouraged to through a stuffed animal on the ice to donate to 911 Gives Hope.  The girls each brought a stuffed animal to throw on the ice.

Keelin had her Kindergarten Christmas program on Tuesday, Dec. 4th.  Her Kindergarten class sang 3 songs.
They are lined up ready to go sing and below they are getting ready for the final song.  The whole church was involved in singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

St. Nick visited the girls on Friday, Dec. 6th.  He brought them new ornaments for the tree and sweets for breakfast.

Keelin's 6th Birthday

Keelin is 6!
Keelin wanted a Brave cake, so her daddy surprised her with a BIG Brave cake!
Keelin's birthday fell on a Saturday, so she opened presents at home in the morning.  She loved having her birthday presents being the first presents under the Christmas tree.
She got the new Brave movie and an American Girl doll, McKenna.
Keelin had her birthday party at Inflatable Fun Factory.  She invited all of her Kindergarten classmates and some more friends and family.  It was a busy afternoon of jumping, pizza, cake, and presents.
 Keelin and Hannah.
 All the girls!
After jumping started to get old, they started a game of "The Farmer in the Dell".  Good thing it was time to head into a party room.

In the evening, we went out to Hornville to celebrate Keelin's birthday with family.
It was a very busy day from dawn to dusk, but Keelin had a great time!
