Halloween

My parents were in town with us for Halloween this year.  My dad picked up take-n-bake pizzas from Papa Murphy's.  The pumpkin pizza special!

Drew and I took the girls trick or treating while my parents passed out candy at our house.

Keelin and Emmy were both pirates for Halloween.  Keelin was Izzy and Emmy was Captain Hook.
"rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

The girls enjoyed dumping out their candy to see what they got!

Fun In Wisconsin

Other than running... we had some fun in Wisconsin.
The hotel in Door County had a ball pit that the girls loved.
It also had a fun swimming area that the girls swam in each day.  (no pictures)
Emmy befriended my cousins, Elmo.  He was in my aunt's truck and she had some fun with him!

On the way home, we stopped in downtown Chicago to go to the American Girl store.  Keelin picked out the Doll of the Year, McKenna.  She is getting her for her birthday and Christmas from her great aunts and great grandma.

Fall 50 Finish Line!

Here we are waiting for Drew at the finish line!

The girls were SO EXCITED to run across the finish line with their daddy.  It was the highlight of Drew's race and very emotional for him.

 Check out that gold BLING!
and his race time.

The group together after the finish!  Everyone finished within a half hour of each other and everyone was walking and healthy.  It was time for some beer and pizza.

good food and good company

Fall 50

Our family traveled to Door County, WI for Drew's 50 mile race.  We spent October 18-22 in Wisconsin visiting family and enjoying Drew's hardest running excursion to date.
Jeff, Leah, Cathy, Michele, and Drew all ran "solo".  Everyone ran 50 miles.

Race Day: October 20th
We went to mile 24 to see Drew for the first time during his race.  We didn't know how long it would take him to get to mile 24.  We ended up being here for about an hour waiting.
Drew's stash of supplies.  A whole cooler and a stuffed backpack.

Keeping the girls busy while waiting for Drew.  My Aunt Selys and my cousin, Tara, had fun with them on this big purple chair.
My parents were a part of the support crew too!

Here he comes... Cathy and Drew ran the whole race together.

looks good after 24 miles.
pit stop with a big pit crew.

Stop #2:  Mile 31

I decorated the car.
Drew was a little tired at 31, but still feeling good.

Stop #3: Mile 36
Miki joined them for 17 miles of the race.

Stop #4: Mile 42
There was a ton of people at this exchange point.  Some of the teams were starting to catch the solo runners.

I ran with Drew from mile 42-47.

Finish line pictures to come...
