Downtown Indy

Saturday after the race we took the girls for a walk down by the canal.

We joined my friend Heather and her husband Beau for dinner at P.F. Changs and then I was able to enjoy some "adult" fun at a few bars downtown with friends I haven't seen in awhile!

Indianapolis Monumental Marathon

Friday, November 4:  We headed to Indianapolis for the Monumental Marathon.

Saturday morning...Drew getting ready to head out to the starting corral...it was 32 degrees.
Keelin made a sign for her daddy.
Emmy is excited to see her daddy too!
My curb walkers!  They kept moving because it was COLD!
Seeing their daddy run by at mile 5.

Mile 7:  He is still excited to see us!

My friend Heather lives on College in Broadripple so we parked at her house to see Drew at mile 12.5.
                   go, daddy, go!

                                   Mile 20
Keelin gave her daddy Combos for extra energy!

The finish!  He looks a little tired... I guess 26 miles will do that to you!

Drew headed to the finish line!  3 hours 45 minutes!

BEAT!  and a new PR!

The girls and I ran around the city (by car) to see Drew at miles 5, 7, 12, 20, and 26.  Who was more tired?

Keelin's Halloween Treat

Keelin's snack day for preschool was on Halloween.  She brought in ice cream because they were studying long "i" that week at school.  She wanted to decorate them for Halloween.

Trick-or-Treating

Monday, October 31:  We went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.  My parents passed out candy at our house as Drew and I took the girls around the neighborhood.

 Cheerleader Emmy and Witch Keelin

 I went dressed for sleeping!

Emmy walked the whole neighborhood and carried her own bag.  As it got heavy...she dragged it!

Our beautiful jack-o-lanterns!

Carving Pumpkins

Sunday, October 30: Carving Pumpkins

After the girls carved their pumpkins they thought rolling down the hill in our backyard would be fun!  I probably would have stopped them had I not learned at my conference 3 days before that that rolling was very important for kids!

Tavern Halloween

Saturday, October 29:  Dinner at Hornville Tavern
We all went out to the tavern for dinner dressed in our Halloween costumes!  We did not stay for the Halloween party out there but we did have fun at dinner and many people were dressed up!

 Batman and Princess Fairy
scarecrow and spider witch (aka...grandma and grandpa)
 Ashlyn "the littlest ladybug"
Keelin's dessert!

Keelin giving her grandma's mask a try!

 Emmy "the ladybug"

Family Halloween 2011 (Keelin picked everyone's costumes this year!)

         The ladybugs!

Boo at the Zoo

Friday, October 28: Boo at the Zoo
This is was by far the best year!  We did not have to wait in lines and we were done before it was dark.  I was so proud of Emmy...she walked the whole zoo and carried her own bag!  My parents joined us this year for this event.

Emmy felt the need to pet the fake spider!

Emmy even petted the dragon lizard!

Keelin's Halloween Parade

Friday, October 28th
Keelin's preschool were a Halloween parade through the "big school"!  I missed the parade last year due to being at a conference.  I am glad I got to see her walk through my classroom this year.
