Ashlyn's Baptism

Sunday, May 8th:  Ashlyn was baptized at St. Ben's.  We went to Mass at 10:30am and Ashlyn was baptized following the Mass.  We had a wonderful lunch following the baptism.

 Beautiful Ashlyn!

It was a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

Changes

We have closed on both houses!
We closed on our current house on Thursday, April 28th.  We have to give our keys to the new owner by Friday, May 27th.
We closed on our new house on Monday, May 16th.  We get our new keys on Tuesday, June 7th (my mom's birthday!).  And this closing will go down in the record books as being...let's say...UNCOMFORTABLE!!!  Seller went crazy...enough said.

As you can see...we will be homeless for 12 days!  Moving TWICE was not in our plan but it is the way it turned out.  Fortunately, we are going to live in Drew's parents' basement!  It is like a mini apartment down there and the girls love being at their mamaw and papaw's house.

The day I took a picture of the sold sign there was a beautiful rainbow!  That must be a good sign!

Update

I just got my computer back yesterday! and yes it had a virus.  The computer needed to be wiped clean of everything and reset to original manufacturer settings.  NO WORRIES!!! I bought an external hard drive last week and backed up my entire computer (not a week before getting this virus!)  PRAISE GOD for GOOD TIMING!!!!!!!  I would have lost everything!  Now I have to figure out how to get everything off my external hard drive and back onto my computer!  Wish me luck!

The BEST part was Drew's friend at his work fixed it for us so it didn't cost us a service charge...but the WORST part was when we fired up the computer for the first time last night...we found a HUGE Chicago Cubs logo as our wallpaper...uuuggghhh :(  Thanks Rob for putting your "stamp" on our computer! and for fixing it.

Cincinnati- Day 2

It was a good day!!! I ran the Flying Pig Marathon this morning.  I haven't ran a marathon since October 2008 when I had a medical issue at the end of the race that landed me in a med tent. NOT THIS TIME!!  I ran better than I even expected!  I set a PR by 43 min.  I finished the hilly and rainy race in 3:48:40!

I was all smiles at mile 14.

Approaching Keelin at mile 25.  Still all smiles.
Here I go!  Less than a mile to go!  I even bragged to Drew that I was going to beat his marathon PR by 3 minutes!  Which I did!  I now (rightfully) hold the fastest marathon time in our family!! Drew has new motivation to change that!

I wore a pacing tattoo which really helped me pace myself.  I finished 1 min and 20 seconds faster than my pacing tattoo.  And that was the best chocolate milk I think I have ever had!!! The best race recovery drink!

Cincinnati- Day 1

We arrived in Cincinnati on Friday evening.  Saturday morning began early with Drew running the 10K.  He ran it in 45:10 (7:11 pace).  He finished 61st out of over 2,000 runners!  GO, DREW!!!
We walked over 10 miles today with Drew's race, Keelin's race, and going to the expo!

Keelin with her daddy before his race.
Ready...Set...GO!!!

Seeing Drew at mile 4.5.  He was MOVING!
Drew finishing his race!

Keelin had her "piglet" race in the afternoon.  She is the last child on the left.
GO, KEELIN, GO!

She is so proud!  And loves her pig medal!

We went to the race expo to pick up my packet.  My race is tomorrow!!!
The pigs are the highlight of the expo!  Jamie, Clay, and Ashlyn are here in Cincinnati too!!!
I can't wait for tomorrow!!!  It is suppose to rain.  The race starts at 6:30 (5:30 Evansville time!) so I will be up VERY EARLY.  Yeah for tomorrow!

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny delivered 40 hidden eggs at our house on Easter morning!
He also left the girls movies, books, and pajamas!

 Looking for eggs!!
Keelin has been obsessed with ballerinas lately, so the Easter bunny brought her a leotard and shoes.  We will probably sign her up for dance next year sometime.

Headed to church...the only picture I have of the girls in their dresses.  And it is always fun to attempt to get a family picture with the good ole' camera timer!  eyes closed, out of focus...the usual!

Keelin and I made a bunny cake again this year for our Easter lunch at their mamaw and papaw's house.

Emmy and Keelin opening their Easter gifts from Mamaw and Papaw.
Don't get too comfortable...you can sit on it as long as it is not moving!!!!

Miss Ashlyn...as cute (and as big) as ever!  She is growing so fast.

Emmy and Keelin just love their cousin!
We had a wonderful Easter!
