Phoenix Half- Marathon

We are here in beautiful Arizona! We arrived Saturday! Sunday my brother, Jeff and his girlfriend, Shauna ran the Phoenix half-marathon. It was Shauna's first half-marathon and they ran it in 1hour 55ish minutes. I don't their exact time. We stood around mile 2.6 and watched them go by!!! I was able to see Ryan Hall and Deena Kastor!!! I have tons of pictures from the race but my Internet connection is so weak that it takes forever for my pictures to upload so I put two pictures from after they finished.

January 13th... I turned 30!!
Drew got me flowers and a balloon. He also surprised me by taking the day off work on Wednesday!!! I woke up to him and Keelin singing,"Happy Birthday"! We went shopping and I bought Keelin flannel sheets for her bed...such a MOM!

We went to dinner at Roca Bar, Newburgh!!! 18 of us had a great time!!!

Epiphany Party

I was able to attend Holy Spirit's Epiphany party last Friday night!! It was at Hornville Tavern. I greatly enjoyed seeing everyone from work!!! Drew stayed home with the girls so it was a nice break to get away! I miss everyone!

Snow and Sports!!!

When it snowed last Thursday, Keelin wanted to go outside and play in the snow! She said she was going to get ready all by herself...this is how she came out of her room!!

She was not happy when I told her, "NO, it is too cold for that outfit!"

so...I opened the back door while she was dressed like that and she immediately agreed with me! see...parents are right sometimes!!!

Visiting with Friends

Wednesday, December 30th: When we got back to Mason, Michigan (my hometown) we were able to visit with my friend, Nicole, and her husband, Drew, and their kids Brady and Taya!!! We ordered pizza and spent the evening in my parents' basement playing and catching up.

Feeding the Deer and More Outside Fun!

Feeding the deer is one of the best things about going up north. I love to watch the wild life come feed at my grandma's house!

Keelin loved going out to feed the deer!

Keelin is watching the deer come eat what she just put out for them.

This is what the deer look like in the morning before we put the hay and corn out! They just stare at us through the glass window. It is like their eyes are saying, "Feed us!"

The deer come right up when just my grandma or my dad go out to feed them. They were too scared of Keelin and I!!!

My dad almost got this deer to eat right out of the bucket. Her nose got to the rim but she backed off.
